Jetpacks! is looking for someone to join our LatAm team as GCP Cloud Engineer. In this role, you'll be responsible for implementing, deploying, and operating Google Cloud Platform infrastructure for our clients, turning architecture designs into production-ready environments that are reliable, secure, and built to scale. 

You'll embed directly into client engagements, working alongside their engineering teams to deliver cloud solutions hands-on. If you enjoy getting things built and seeing real impact in production, this is your kind of role. 

Role Responsibilities

  • Implement and deploy GCP infrastructure based on architecture blueprints and client requirements. 
  • Provision and manage cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform). 
  • Set up and maintain Kubernetes clusters on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), including deployments, autoscaling, and observability. 
  • Configure and optimize GCP services including Compute Engine, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, and VPC networking. 
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, or equivalent tools. 
  • Implement IAM policies, network security controls, and compliance configurations across client environments. 
  • Monitor infrastructure health using Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, and alerting tools and act on incidents proactively. 
  • Perform cost analysis and apply optimization recommendations to keep client environments efficient. 
  • Support client engineering teams with onboarding to GCP services and cloud-native workflows. 
  • Document infrastructure, runbooks, and operational procedures for handoff and ongoing support. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues in production environments with a sense of urgency. 
How will you be supported

You'll be onboarded to the tech team organization. You will be part of a team and will communicate with them via Slack and Google Meet. Periodic 1-on-1 meetings will be held to ensure you are successful and are having a productive and enjoyable experience. 

Role Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience working with GCP in production environments. 
  • Strong practical knowledge of core GCP services: Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, VPC, and IAM. 
  • Proven experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management. 
  • Solid understanding of Kubernetes , deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting workloads. 
  • Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines. 
  • Familiarity with cloud networking concepts: VPCs, subnets, firewall rules, load balancers, DNS. 
  • Ability to work directly with client teams in a consulting or implementation context. 
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and comfort operating in production environments. 
  • Seld-driven and able to manage your own workload accross multiple client engagements.
  • Advanced English level.
Preferred Qualifications

  • GCP Associate Cloud Engineer or GCP Professional Cloud Architect certification. 
  • Experience in a consulting or professional services environment. 
  • Exposure to cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, or GCP-native monitoring stacks. 
  • Experience with GitOps workflows (Flux, ArgoCD). 
  • Basic scripting skills in Python or Bash for automation tasks. 
  • Knowledge of FinOps practices and cloud cost management.
