At Jetpacks!, we've got opportunities to offer you — for growth, for leadership, for big, world-changing impact and for, dare we say it, fun. We are a new startup committed to helping companies reach new heights together, by unleashing the Latin American power.

And that starts with you :)

Jetpacks! is looking for someone to join our LatAm team as a Senior SRE - Observability. In this role, you'll be responsible for shaping how our clients' engineering teams understand, operate, and improve their systems, building observability from the ground up and embedding it into the DNA of how we deliver software.

We're looking for someone with strong observability chops, ideally with Honeycomb and/or OpenTelemetry experience. If you haven't worked with Honeycomb yet, no worries: we'll train you on it. What matters most is that you bring deep observability expertise and a passion for making complex systems understandable.

  • Design and implement end-to-end observability strategies across distributed systems, covering metrics, logs, and traces.
  • Lead the adoption and rollout of OpenTelemetry (OTel) instrumentation across services and infrastructure.
  • Architect and maintain observability pipelines, ensuring high-quality, actionable telemetry data flows to the right destinations.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to embed observability best practices into the software development lifecycle, from design to production.
  • Define and enforce SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets, partnering with product and engineering to align reliability goals with business outcomes.
  • Drive incident response processes, including post-mortem culture, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Evaluate, integrate, and champion observability tooling, including Honeycomb, as the primary platform for querying and understanding system behavior.
  • Mentor engineers on observability-first thinking, helping teams move from reactive monitoring to proactive, data-driven operations.
  • Contribute to infrastructure-as-code practices, automating observability configuration and deployment.
  • Stay current with the DevOps and observability ecosystem, bringing new ideas and approaches to the team.
